How we work.

Poetry Display wants poets from across the whole spectrum of the art, from those who write purely for their own pleasure to those whose ambition it is to be published and world renowned.

Free from any editorial interference, from any form of censorship, we will publish your poems on the world wide web exactly as you send them to us.

And Poetry display is different in other important ways. Just two clicks and you are reading poems. Click the category you want, then click your selection, it is that easy.

One thing is for certain, you will not be the only one doing it. Poetry Display is not relying on people finding the site by chance while browsing the net or through slow links via obscure sites. We will be advertising internationally, in the press and on radio. Personal contacts with the media , press releases and publicity will ensure a constant stream of visitors to read your poetry.

Our edge.

There is another, a unique advantage that Poetry Display enjoys. It is a subsidiary of the Author-Management Literary Agency. All contacts within the publishing industry will be made regularly aware of the existence of Poetry Display.

If any genuine publisher approaches Poetry Display expressing interest in the work of one of our poets then we will put them in touch with each other.

There will be no charge, no commission of any sort for this. We will be delighted to do it as a courtesy service. If though, as a consequence, the poet asks our literary agency, Author-Management, to represent him we will guarantee their acceptance as a client at our standard publishing industry rates.

Yes, there is a fee.

To put your work on our site, to keep it there, to generate the publicity and sustain our advertising we do need to make a charge but it is small and offers incredible value.

For four A4 pages, containing as many poems as you want, each under a separate category if you wish ,we charge just £15 / $20 for one year. You can if you wish choose to have your poetry displayed for two years for only £25 / $35. If you want to renew the arrangement at the end of that time then a deep discount will be offered. A special reduction will be the right of any poet who wishes to add extra pages , at any time, to those they already have with us.

All you have to do.

Select four A4 pages of poetry you would like us to display. Read our hints and tips page to make sure you are presenting your work in the best way possible. Have a browse through our site to see what other people have done in the way of layout, presentation and brief biographical details, just to get ideas.

Choose the category heading under which you would like each poem displayed. If you do not see an appropriate one, then suggest a new one to us.

Decide if you want the poetry signed with your own name, a pseudonym or simply left anonymous.

If you have more than four pages you would like displayed, then contact us and we will quote for the additional material.

Payment.

From the U.S.A by International Money Order or cash. If you do choose to send cash, then please use a secure postal method.

That is all there is to it. We will acknowledge receipt of your poetry on its arrival and tell you the day it will go on to our site. We try to ensure that all poetry is displayed not later than ten days after it reaches us.
